eBay GPSR: cannot save product safety information?

If you cannot save eBay's product-safety fields, check which disclosure section you are editing and whether its required input is present. A disabled button is an editing problem to investigate; it does not by itself mean eBay rejected a compliance document.

Is this an actual eBay email subject?

No. This title describes a problem in the listing editor. eBay's official product-safety help says the bulk safety editor enables saving after a pictogram or statement is added; the document editor requires a document. We have not verified a standard email announcing this button state.

What should I check in the editor?

1. Identify the section. Manufacturer contacts, safety disclosures and document uploads are separate records. Write down which one the original request asks for.
2. Check the available input. In the safety section, select only a pictogram or statement that accurately applies. Do not choose an irrelevant hazard merely to enable saving.
3. Check the text field. eBay documents a 120-character limit for additional safety information and does not accept URLs in that field. For documents, it lists PDF, JPG and PNG uploads. Source: eBay help.
4. Try one representative listing first. Review the saved result before changing a larger set. This is our suggested way to limit mistakes, not a mandatory eBay procedure.

What if my product does not need the offered warning?

Do not invent a warning to work around the interface. Return to the actual request and check whether it concerns contacts or documents instead. If no offered safety statement is appropriate and you cannot complete the required action, ask eBay support how to handle that product and editor state.

What can I send to support?

This is an original troubleshooting draft:

Item [ID], marketplace [site]. In [section], the Save control remains unavailable after [actions]. The information I need to provide is [request]. I have attached a screenshot of the editor and the original notice. Please confirm the required field or workflow for this item.

Include your browser and whether the issue also occurs when editing one listing. Share screenshots through official support and remove unrelated customer information.

Do I need a new document?
