The check reads your listing, determines which EU requirements (GPSR — Regulation (EU) 2023/988 — and related rules) apply to your product category, and scores your readiness: manufacturer identification, EU Responsible Person, product identifiers, safety warnings in the right languages, and the marketplace compliance fields Amazon and Etsy ask you to fill in. Every requirement cites its legal basis.

How much does it cost?＋
The readiness check is free. A complete EU Selling Pack for one product is €14 one-time (5 products €39, 25 products €99). Seller Pro is an optional subscription — €19/month or €190/year (2 months free) — that adds update monitoring, Safety Gate (RAPEX) alerts, a 10-year document archive (the GPSR Art. 9 retention period) and 3 new product packs per month. Monthly packs don't roll over, and you can cancel in-app anytime, effective at the end of the paid period.
What exactly do Amazon and Etsy ask for?＋
Amazon Seller Central and Etsy both added EU product-safety fields: manufacturer name and address, EU Responsible Person contact details, safety information and warnings in the buyer's language, and supporting documentation on request. Your pack includes copy-paste text mapped one-to-one to those exact fields.
I don't have an EU Responsible Person. Can I still use this?＋
You need an RP before selling in the EU — it's a legal requirement we can't paper over. Get one first (services cost roughly €150–400/year), then come back and we'll put it in every document and field output.
