Amazon GPSR: manufacturer information missing — what to submit
If your Amazon notification asks for manufacturer information, start with the manufacturer contact record for the affected product. Uploading a safety PDF alone may leave that request unresolved. Match the action to the reason shown for the ASIN before preparing new documents.
What does the notification look like?
This page title describes the issue; it is not a universal Amazon email subject. In an Amazon staff response about a GPSR performance notification, the moderator identified missing manufacturer details on product pages and directed the seller to submit them through the affected listing in Account Health. That is a documented example of this request, not evidence that every compliance notice has the same cause.
Keep the original notification, ASIN, marketplace and stated deadline together. A separate Responsible Person request belongs to a different task: see our Responsible Person warning guide.
How do I find the affected listing?
Amazon's moderator describes opening Account Health, filtering for removed listings, and using the submission action beside the affected item. Read the current instructions inside your own account; interface wording and available actions can vary. Source: Amazon staff guidance.
Before changing anything, make a small record:
| Record | What to capture |
|---|---|
| Product | ASIN, seller SKU and model or variant |
| Store | The marketplace named in the notification |
| Request | Exact reason and requested field or document |
| Evidence | Packaging photo, supplier document or manufacturer confirmation |
| Submission | Date, result and case reference |
This is a suggested working checklist, not an Amazon-required form.
What should I check before submitting?
- Identify the correct manufacturer. Compare the product, packaging and supplier records. Do not replace unknown information with your shop name merely to fill the form.
- Check the contact details. The cited Amazon response requests a name, postal address and electronic contact. Use the applicable fields shown in your account and verify the spelling against the underlying record.
- Keep roles separate. A manufacturer record and a Responsible Person record should identify the parties actually performing those roles.
- Compare variants. Do not apply one contact record to unrelated brands or products without checking it.
- Save proof of the submission. Record the result before making another change. If the next message asks for safety information, handle that separately with the safety-document upload guide.
What can I send to support if it remains unresolved?
Use this original draft only after replacing the brackets with accurate details:
For ASIN [ASIN] in [marketplace], the request concerns manufacturer information. I submitted [fields] on [date], using [evidence]. The current status is [status]. Please identify the field that still needs correction or the submission action I should use. Case reference: [reference].
Avoid stating that Amazon approved the product unless the relevant decision actually says so.
Do I need to buy a document pack for a missing address?
No. If the request is only for a verified manufacturer address, enter that information through Amazon's workflow. A document purchase does not create or verify an address.
If the same product also needs documentation prepared, inspect an English sample or check your product free. EUSellKit's optional €14 pack prepares document drafts for supported products from seller-confirmed information. It does not supply an EU Responsible Person or guarantee Amazon acceptance.
