Amazon GPSR Safety Information Document: Free Generator and Upload Guide

Amazon EU can ask for warning and safety information when a non-food consumer product is listed. The request usually appears in Account Health, Regulatory Compliance, Manage Your Compliance, or the Safety & Compliance section of the listing editor. The file is product-specific: it should identify the product and show the safety wording buyers need before purchase.

What should an Amazon GPSR safety information document contain?

For a normal GPSR product, include at least:

• the exact product name and ASIN, SKU, model or batch identifier;
• the manufacturer's legal name, postal address and monitored email address;
• the EU Responsible Person's name, address and email when the manufacturer is outside the EU;
• warnings, age restrictions, safe-use instructions and relevant pictograms;
• the information in a language consumers in the destination marketplace can understand.

Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 requires online offers to make product identification, manufacturer details, applicable EU economic-operator details and warning or safety information easily accessible. A marketplace upload is only the online-offer part of the duty: required information may also need to appear on the product, packaging or accompanying material.

How do I create the document?

1. Open the free generator.
2. Enter the product name exactly as it appears in your catalogue and add its ASIN, SKU or model.
3. Copy the manufacturer and Responsible Person details from your verified records. Do not use placeholders.
4. Select the Amazon marketplace language.
5. Enter warnings and instructions you have assessed for this specific product.
6. Open the generated document and choose Print / Save as PDF.

The generator translates fixed headings. It deliberately does not machine-translate the warnings you enter: safety wording should be checked for the product and destination language before publication.

Where do I upload it in Seller Central?

For a small number of products, start with Account Health → Regulatory Compliance or edit the listing and open Safety & Compliance. Follow the action shown against the affected ASIN, because Amazon changes labels and available document types by product category and store.

For bulk submission, Amazon's GPSR team instructs sellers to download a fresh category listing template, work with one product type and one store language at a time, and use the compliance-media fields. Should I upload a document or use the safety attestation?

Use the choice Seller Central presents for the specific ASIN. A safety attestation is not a shortcut for a product that actually needs warnings or instructions. If your assessment identifies safety information, provide it. If the product is subject to sector legislation such as toys, electrical equipment, cosmetics, PPE or food-contact rules, a simple GPSR safety sheet will not replace the category-specific evidence Amazon may request.

Why was my safety document rejected?

Common content and submission problems include:

• the ASIN or product identifier in the file does not match the listing;
• manufacturer or Responsible Person details differ between the document and Amazon's stored record;
• the file contains generic wording reused across unrelated products;
• warnings are missing or are in the wrong marketplace language;
• the PDF is unreadable, password-protected or linked through a non-direct sharing page;
• another listing or account-health issue is keeping the ASIN inactive.

If Seller Central shows the GPSR information as accepted but the listing remains inactive, generating another file may not help. Record the accepted status, open a support case with the ASIN and ask which exact attribute or review state still blocks reactivation.

Is the free document enough for every product?

No single template can establish product compliance. The free document helps present seller-confirmed information in a clean upload format.
