GPSR Bulk Compliance: How to Manage Hundreds of SKUs (2026)

For hundreds of SKUs, save shared manufacturer and EU Responsible Person details once, import product-specific data by CSV, and resolve each SKU's missing or review items before updating marketplace listings. A shared profile reduces repeated typing; it does not make every product compliant. Does a 2026 catalogue need a new GPSR deadline?

No. The GPSR has applied since 13 December 2024. “2026” in this guide means the guide's publication year, not a new application date. Regulation (EU) 2023/988 is dated 10 May 2023; Article 52 sets its application date.

For online offers, Article 19 covers manufacturer contacts, the responsible person where the manufacturer is outside the EU, product identification including an image, and applicable safety information. Can one manufacturer and responsible-person record cover the whole catalogue?

Yes, if those entities actually cover every product using the record. Save their names, postal addresses and emails in your catalogue profile, along with default target markets. Empty manufacturer/RP cells in an imported row inherit the corresponding profile values; empty markets use the profile's default markets.

For another manufacturer or RP, enter all three relevant contact cells on that row. Defaults apply field by field: changing only a name can accidentally pair a new company with the old company's address. Do not use one profile to disguise a multi-manufacturer catalogue.

Confirm the RP's actual role and product coverage before reusing the details. Saving an address does not appoint a representative. An EU-established manufacturer can itself be the responsible economic operator; a separate paid representative is not automatically necessary. Read what an EU Responsible Person costs and does.

How should you prepare a CSV for hundreds of SKUs?

Use one row per SKU and keep shared contacts separate from product-specific facts. Start with the template in your catalogue, then:

1. Keep SKU identifiers stable, including leading zeros. Maintain your own mapping from SKU to Amazon ASIN or eBay listing ID.
2. Enter the actual category, materials, intended use, hazards and target markets for each product.
3. Use | between multiple values, such as DE|FR or cotton|polyester.
4. Select relevant warning codes deliberately. An empty warnings cell does not trigger automatic warning selection.
5. Test a small group, inspect import results, then import the rest in files within the 1 MB limit.

Which per-SKU gaps should you fix first?

Separate invalid inputs from missing information and matters requiring human review. They need different actions:

A profile change rescans the catalogue, so inspect its effect on inherited records. A complete set of entered fields still does not prove that a risk analysis exists or that the live listing displays the details. Keep the technical file and product evidence alongside your catalogue records.

Which marketplace bulk paths can you use?

After submission, inspect errors and the published offers in each target market. A successful file import is not evidence that every required detail is visible.

Which products can EUSellKit support?
